Everybody Go Ape

Those who're Free Wired might already know that Far-East Movement just had their first ever Jakarta concert on the 15th at Istora Senayan. Three words: It. Was. SICK! Totally awesome concert they put up. Despite the 3-hour long opening act (YES! THAT long. Imagine those standing up), the concert was great! They can really get the crowd pumped up especially with their most popular songs, Like A G6 and Rocketeer.

First up was DJ Mikey Moran opening the concert. He played lots of mainstream electro pop music mixes to get the crowd pumped up. I've never heard of him before (well, maybe also because I don't really look into the Jakarta party scene) but he's pretty goood. It's not easy to create a vibe. Especially when you're not the one people are paying to see. Next up was The Angels of Percussion and DJ Devina. They were okay. Just okay. After, it just got worse. It was downright horrible. And when I say horrible, I mean HORRIBLE. This local artist named Leeya (I think?) came out in a fail Katy Perry inspired dress -_- I mean, seriously?

Well, after are more DJs. DJ Mikey came out again, then Jay Smoove who was real smooth with the ladies I guess hahahaa~ A girl was actually brought up to the stage and he sang for her and gave her 2 roses. Woah. His dancers were really cool tho. After that, more DJs; DJ TWIST feat. RAD/BOT (idk who they are -_- local I guess?). They were fine but I still think DJ Mikey was better.

Then, after a whole 2-3 hours of waiting, DJ Virman from Far-East Movement finally came out. You could really hear the difference between him and the other DJs that performed last night. Finally, after long hours of waiting, the other 3/4 of Far-East Movement came out; Kev Nish, J-Splif, and Prohgress. Oh! They also brought Kayla Kai who was featured in White Flag with them. The concert is what you'd expect it to be. A full hour of pumped up energy from them. BUT it could've been better if they had performed longer... -__-

Well, I guess that's it. There's not much to tell really. You just have to be there to know :)

xx

P.S. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures -_- I was too lazy to bring a camera and the lights were too blinding for my phone to capture it

Victoria's Secret Angels by Seth Sabal

One word: Gorgeous!

"Some of our favorite portraits come from New York based photographer Seth Sabal, and his latest portrait series starring four Victoria’s Secret Angels is certainly no exception. Capturing leggy beauties Miranda KerrCandice SwanepoelErin Heatherton and Lily Aldridge, Sabal shows off a new side of these sexy bombshells" -Fashion Gone Rogue
Miranda Kerr. My favorite picture out of all♥

Candice Swanepoel

Lily Aldridge

Erin Heatherton
Too bad Rosie isn't featured here :'( But hey! at least Miranda's there! One of my favorite VS Angel portraits!

Oyeah, I also found Rosie's Spring 2011 Catalogue pictures! OH FINALLY SHE'S BACK WITH VS!! Let's just hope she's featured in more ads and campaigns. I'm getting kinda sick of Candice's face everywhere. Not saying she's not pretty, she is! But it's just too much sometimes if her face is on every VS catalogue.

Btw, VS is suddenly the craze in school I have no idea why. Not that I'm against it. I'm actually happy people don't think of lingerie as something "taboo" to talk about. Well, It's not that extreme as to say it's a taboo but well, you know what I mean, right?

She's gorgeous here! Rosie♥

Stam I Am

HEYY! Things have been rather rough lately so I haven't got the time to write anything. BUT when I saw the new Juicy ad, I just had to write.

Those close to me know that I am obsessed with models, and one of my favorites is Jessica Stam.

One of my favorites of all time. Well, me being my usual self, I like to guess who the model on a certain editorial is.

So when I saw this Juicy Couture ad, I was definite that the girl on the left was Jessica Stam and I also kinda recognize the girl on the right. I think she's Hanne Gaby something :p Not really lovin' her so yeah.

Turns out I was wrong!
I searched everywhere for the picture under the label "Jessica Stam" and found nothing. I quickly changed my search to "Juicy Spring Ad" and found the picture. There were the credits in the Women Management Blog and none of the models' names were Jessica Stam. Turns out, that girl who looked exactly like Stam is none other than the Ukrainian beauty, Viktoriya Sasonkina.

MINDFUCKING STRIKING RESEMBLANCE

I don't like her as much as Stam but she does take good pictures. She has a stronger bone structure and thinner brows. OH! and she doesn't have Stam's famous lashes ;)

OH! and I'd like to apologize for not posting the long overdued 3rd and 4th part of the Smitten "series" yet. I haven't gotten my hands on the pictures I took there. It's all in my dad's camera and yeeeaaahh... I do have the haul pictures so maybe I'll do the hauling first. Meh. Just see what I decide on later :)

Fashion Week Fall RTW 2011: Monique Lhuillier

With Fashion Week ending soon, I started to, again, browse the looks of my favorite designers. Sadly, this season didn't really appeal to me as much as the Spring/Summer 2011 shows. Well, that maybe because I'm not really the burgundy and long skirts type of girl. Although there isn't really a defining trend for this season, but I've been seeing lot's of 70s glamour, spangles, classic and somber pieces. But in general, they're all too dark and... uhh... I have no idea what's the best word to describe it. Simply said, I was less than impressed. BUT there are, of course, the very few collections I love.

One of them are Monique Lhuillier's. It's the first time I heard of her and I absolutely love her Fall 2011 collection. Lots of dresses, very glamourous, very pretty. First saw her collection from The Cut on the Runway app for the iPad (which is amazing, btw. Great interface, very up-to-date, doesn't crash like the Style.com app), my new best friend :p Well, enough with the blurts, on with the pictures!

Here are my favorite looks from the show:

MY FAVORITE!!
Although the color I don't quite love, the dress itself is just gorgeous!
Not really a huge fan of animal prints, but this is love!

I also love what they did with the hair!
I will post more favorites soon! I have another one in queue and will probably post it tomorrow or the day after :D so stay tuned!

Peachy-keen

Hiiii! How was valentine's dayy? Hope all of you had lots of fun with your loved ones :) Mine was okay, I guess... Felt like just another monday plus the cupid, chocolates and flowers hahaa~ Oh! The upside of it isssss I fell in loveee!

...with this bag from Mulberry HAHAHAHAAA!

Ever since I saw this spread in the Nylon February 2011 issue, I was completely smitten. The first time I saw a Mulberry satchel was on Alexa Chung and LOVED it. It wasn't this one, but they look similar. I prefer this one tho :p
